LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
At Studio Mina Skin, we use SharpLight’s advanced Q-Switch laser technology with DPC (Dynamic Pulse Control)—a powerful, clinically proven method for safe and effective tattoo removal.
Unlike many systems, our Q-Switch laser delivers precisely timed pulses of light energy that target tattoo ink without harming the surrounding skin. These pulses create a controlled acoustic shockwave that breaks down pigment into smaller particles, which your body naturally clears over time.
Q-Switch vs. Pico: What’s the Difference?
There are two main laser technologies used in tattoo removal: Q-Switch and Pico.
Q-Switch lasers use nanosecond pulses to break down ink efficiently and are ideal for deeper, older, and more saturated tattoos.
Pico lasers, while newer, use ultra-short picosecond pulses and can sometimes require more sessions and generate more heat, which increases the risk of irritation—especially on sensitive or darker skin tones.
Our Q-Switch system with DPC technology offers:
Better clearance of stubborn pigments
Fewer sessions for many clients
Safe treatment across multiple skin types
High effectiveness on tough-to-treat colored inks, including reds, blues, and greens
FAQ’S
-
Every tattoo is distinct and necessitates a varied number of treatments, contingent on factors such as the depth of ink penetration, size, age, and color of the tattoo. To achieve optimal tattoo removal results, approximately 4-5 treatments at 8-week intervals are recommended. This timeframe allows your body sufficient time to absorb the tattoo's pigment residue and safely eliminate it.

Some pigments and inks pose greater challenges for removal than others. Lighter colors, in particular, can be more challenging due to their reduced absorption of laser light compared to darker tones. However, the majority of tattoos are treatable, except for those containing white ink. Your pre-treatment consultation will provide guidance tailored to your specific tattoo.
